Frequently Asked Questions

The origin of the term ‘virtual tour’ dates to 1994. The first example of a virtual tour was a museum visitor interpretive tour, consisting of  a ‘walk-through’ of a 3D reconstruction of Dudley Castle in England as it was in 1550.  This consisted of a computer controlled laserdisc based system designed by British-based engineer Colin Johnson.

One of the first users of a virtual tour was Queen Elizabeth II when she officially opened the visitor centre in June 1994. Because the Queen’s officials had requested titles, descriptions and instructions of all activities, the system was named and described as: “Virtual Tour, being a cross between Virtual Reality and Royal Tour.” (Wikipedia)

Initially, it will take 30 minutes to an hour on site to shoot the required panoramic images. Larger or complicated sites can take longer and this will be agreed prior to the shoot.

Following the shoot, post production is normally turned around in 1-2 days for most ‘standard’ shoots. Again, this will be discussed prior to the shoot.

We would welcome you to take part, but it is not a firm requirement. As long as we have agreed the scope of the shoot and have access to the site, we can complete the shoot without you being there.

There are several options. We use a tour hosting platform and your tour will be hosted with them for an agreed period. We supply a link that can be added to your website or shared with others allowing access to your tour.

Alternatively, we can supply you with copies of your image files which you can upload to a hosting platform of your choice.

This is not a problem and is something we routinely explore with our clients.

Your tour will only include the areas of your property or business that you authorise us to include.

Additionally, it is usually possible to digitally remove or mask items within an image if required.

Yes, it is possible to add supplemental photos into a tour dependent on their quality and format. We can discuss this in more detail during our initial consultation.

First of all, we do not require payment in advance. We will complete the shoot, post production activities and provide you with your virtual tour for your review and sign off.

Our payment terms are 21 days from date of the invoice.

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Bank Transfer (BACS)
  • PayPal
